Welcome to the DB2 Students Group @ University of Minho,

this group was created as part of the IBM DB2 students ambassadors program with members from the Department of Informatics at University of Minho.
Our main objective is to deliver and promote speeches, courses and workshops showing DB2 at our campus and at other Portuguese universities.

What is DB2?
DB2 is one of IBM's lines of relational database management system (or, as IBM now calls it, data server) software products within IBM's broader Information Management Software line. Although there are different "editions" and "versions" of DB2 which run on devices ranging from handhelds to mainframes, most often DB2 refers to DB2 Enterprise Server Edition or the top-of-the-line DB2 Data Warehouse Edition (DB2 DWE), which runs on Unix, Windows or Linux servers; or DB2 for z/OS. What is the DB2 Student Ambassador Program?
The DB2 Student Ambassador program is a voluntary program designed to have students promote the use of DB2 at educational institutions. Students highly motivated in learning and using DB2 are invited to participate. Though the program is voluntary, it gives students a chance to learn more about DB2, develop presentation skills and marketing skills.
